Study Overview

Promoting Resilience In Stress Management (PRISM) is an 8-session didactic small-group Mindfulness-Based Intervention focused on three core tenets of mindfulness:

  • Observing non-judgmentally
  • Attending to positivity
  • Self-soothing

PRISM has been facilitated and found to be successful in the following populations:

  • Adolescents in substance-use recovery reported significant reductions in depression symptoms
  • High-risk adults indicated feasibility of PRISM through high retention rates
